Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Are your balloons biodegradable?

Yes they are! Our standard 10 and 12 Inch size balloons and our Giant 2 and 3 foot balloons are made out of natural rubber latex derived from tree sap from a sustainable rubber tree plantation. As a result our balloons are completely natural with no plastic and will degrade at the same rate as an oak leaf.

Q. Do the balloons come filled with helium?

Not as a rule no. Although we do offer a balloon in a box service most of our custom printed balloons are delivered flat for you to inflate with air or helium.

Q. Are the balloons suitable for filling with helium?

Yes. Our latex balloons are helium quality and our foil helium balloons are by definition, suitable for filling with helium!

Q. What is the float time for helium filled balloons?

For helium foil balloons about a week. For Giant Latex balloons, maybe 4 days on average. Our latex balloons might last between 8 and 12 hours so we would advise that they are filled on the day of your event.

Q. What types of custom printed balloons can I choose from?

We currently print on a ten inch latex balloon, available in solid and pastel colours as well as a larger twelve inch balloon that as well as also being available in solid and pastel colours are also available in metallic and pearlescent finishes. We also print on giant latex balloons. These are available in a range of colours and create a huge impact! Our final balloon type are foil helium balloons. These are the best option if you want a super long float time!

Q. Do you only print on one side of your balloons?

No! We can print on two sides. And you can have the same logo on either side or different artworks depending on your preference.

Q. How many colours can I have printed on my balloons?

As a general rule the best types of artworks for printing on balloons are fairly simple and with not too many colours. This ensures a higher impact. With this in mind we offer 1, 2, 3 and a 4 colour print. We also offer a cmyk option for if you would like a full colour image.

Q. Can I have any colour of ink printed on my balloons?

Pretty much! Our most popular - and cheapest - colours to print on balloon are black and white but we can also print in any other colour you would like. Especially useful if your brand demands a specific colour. It's worth noting that unless you are printing on a white balloon then the perceived colour of your artwork might be altered slightly by the colour of the balloon.

Q. What balloon colours do you do?

We have most things covered! You can see our complete balloon colour range here.

Q. Can I have my logo printed on an assortment of balloon colours?

You can! In fact within a set balloon colour range there is no additional cost to having lots of different balloon colours with the same artwork on.

Q. Can I see what my balloons will look like before printing?

You can, if you send us your logo we will be able to create a digital proof for you to approve.

Q. Is my artwork suitable for printing?

To ensure the best possible print the ideal is the designer copy of your logo. This will usually be in PDF, AI or EPS format. Alternatively a high resolution bitmap file (jpeg, png for example) may be okay. You can email us a copy of your logo and we will be happy to advise.

Q. What is the size of the printing area on your balloons?

It depends on the size of the balloons! For our standard 10 and 12 Inch balloons the logo once the balloons are fully inflated will be around 5 or 6 inches in diameter. Because the print area is round you'll get the best impact if your artwork is more circular than wide or tall.

Q. Will my logo be the right way up on the balloons?

By default your logo will be printed with the neck pointing downward. This will mean it is the correct way up if filled with helium or mounted on balloon sticks. If you wanted to hang your balloons from the ceiling or some other similar arrangement then we can print your logo with the neck facing upwards. If you want both we can do that too.

Q. How many balloons can I have printed?

As few or as many as you like! It's worth pointing out that because of the relatively high set up costs for screen printing (which is the technique that we use for printing on balloons) then the more balloons you order, the cheaper it will be per balloon. So it's worth checking the price for different amounts so you can see how the costs change.

Q. What do the balloons come with?

You can add accessories to your balloons. For example Balloon Sticks for handing out your air filled balloons, or ribbon for tying down your helium filled balloons. Our air hand pumps are well worth having if you're wanting to blow up more than 50-100 balloons. We also sell helium!

Q. How quickly can I get my balloons?

Our standard turnaround from payment of your order is usually a week / 5 working days. We can do your balloons quickly if you've left thing to the last minute. Ask us about our Express Service.

Q. How do I place my order?

Through our website! Although we are happy to advise or help with your order over the phone or by email, the best way to place your order is through our balloon printing wizard.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

All normal debit or credit cards! Bank transfer if required and Paypal is also available should you prefer it.

Q. Can I return my balloons?

Once we have printed your balloons we cannot accept returns as your balloons have been personalised just for you and cannot be resold. This does not affect your statutory rights.
